Many alums of the University of Wyoming neuroscience program work for major companies, such as Glaxo Pharmaceuticals, Grey Matters International, LifeX Labs, and others hold professional careers in health care.
Other graduates have been successful in obtaining NIH individual postdoctoral fellowships and have moved on to faculty positions in academia.
The University of Wyoming is home to hundreds of graduate students who are pursuing vital research. Our students come to us from all over to pursue high-impact degrees while studying in one of the most beautiful locations in the U.S. Laramie is home to about 35,000 residents with ample cultural attractions, restaurants, shops and more. Graduate students are supported by our award-winning faculty and many end up calling Laramie their home after obtaining their degree. We welcome you to explore more about UW and all that we have to offer our students!
Our small student-to-faculty ratio enables students to work closely with their advisers and receive one-on-one instruction. Labs tend to be small with 2-3 graduate students.
We're looking for motivated and innovative individuals to join UW's neuroscience program. Prospective candidates are highly encouraged to meet with our program coordinator by requesting information to ensure you understand the specific admission requirements for this program.
After submitting your request, you'll be able to immediately download our graduate student viewbook where you can discover all that UW has to offer.
UW offers eligible students graduate assistantships to help cover the cost of attendance. These generous opportunities are highly competitive and provide tuition reimbursement, a stipend and even student health insurance coverage. Applicants are considered and offered available funding at the time of admission. Additional funding may be available to students so be sure to check with your program coordinator.
Please note: Funding is offered based on departmental availability and is subject to annual deadlines.
